We met each other in Medical School in Philadelphia, PA. We choose each other from our entire large class to be partners in Physical Anatomy Class. In this class we learned how to perform a physical exam by practicing on each other. Well, practice makes perfect, and one thing led to another, and we have been together ever since.
Scott is from Southern California and Charlotte is from the Jersey Shore in New Jersey. We grew up on different coasts but both love the beach! We moved around the country for training after medical school. Our son Shaun was born in Pittsburgh PA through a miraculous and difficult pregnancy. We loved the people in Pittsburgh, but Scott missed the sun, so we moved to South Carolina. This California boy and Jersey girl have been in South Carolina every since!
We both come from families of four children and we have strong family values. We love children and always wanted more children. Unfortunately, we were not able to have more biological children. We have tried to adopt through our local Department of Social Services and have also fostered children for the last few years. Having children come and go has been both challenging and rewarding for our family. We would really like to have another child to love and be a permanent part of our family. We are a fun, loving couple, with a secure marriage, financially stable, and we are experienced parents.
We are literally a team as husband and wife. Besides working together as a team in our home and marriage, we actually work together in our own medical practice. This has allowed us flexibility in our work schedule. Charlotte plans on taking time off and adjusting her work schedule if we are fortunate to adopt a child. We support each other and celebrate the big and small moments in our lives!
